Departure at 8:00 a.m.
On the road: several stops to take photos
lunch in Ouarzazatein a modest local restaurant, with a Moroccan salad and a dish of your choice: vegetable/chicken tagine, or chicken skewers, or couscous (drinks not included)
Visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou with a local guide (provide 2 euro for the ticket and 2.5 euro for the guide)
Dinner (drinks not included) and overnight stay (2-3 stars)

Day 2

Depart for Merzouga
Walk between dunes on camel’s back, about 2 hours
Dinner and overnight in a bivouac

Day 3

Contemplation of sunrise
Return to Ouarzazate
Dinner (drinks not included) and overnight stay (2-3 stars)

Day 4

Breakfast in the hotel

What are the best months to visit the sahara desert?

The best months to visit the sahara desert are March, April, May, October and November, during these months the temperature is milder, during the months of December and January the temperature is freezing, therefore sleeping at night can be difficult. 

How far is the sahara desert from marrakech?

The sahara desert is located in the south of Erfoud, approximately 560 km from Marrakech, we can get you there in under 9 hours.

Where I will stay during my night stay in the desert?

You will be sleeping in a nomad camp in the middle of the sahara desert, so you can fully experience the nomad life.

I have limited time to spend in Morocco, is one day enough to experience the desert?

Of course, the agafay desert is just 25 km away from Marrakech, this stony desert will surprise you and make you forget the intense atmosphere of Marrakech.

Erg chebbi is more popular, but both Erg Chebbi and Erg Chigaga have high dunes.

Most camps will have electricity in the tents and a place to plug your phone(s), however, you should let us know before the trip that you need electricity and a place to plug your phone(s), so we can put you in the right tent.

Do you have wifi in your desert camp ?

People usually visit the desert to relax and to leave the mayhem of the modern world behind, but we can provide you with a wifi connection if you need it.

I'm vegetarian, do you have any special menu for me?

Don’t worry, you will find plenty of vegetarian menu options.

Do you have any advise for our stay in the desert?

Take warm clothes with you, we said that before, true, but we can’t stress this enough.
