Itinerary

Program

You will embark upon a two hour scenic drive through the country, past the argan tree farms, before arriving on the Atlantic Coast and the charming town of Essaouira, better known as Old Mogador. Founded by the Romans and inhabited by the Portuguese until the 1600s, this harbor town is one of the oldest and most important fishing ports in all of Morocco. Your tour will highlight the harbor with its fine Moorish and Portuguese art, the old medina, 17th-century cannons brought from Spain and the local artists’ quarter. One our way we’ll stop to visit a Women Argan Co-op managed by the women of the region to manufacture argan oil for all type of use. A relaxing three-course lunch will be served at the conclusion of the tour. Fortified with lunch, you will have free time to explore this fascinating area at your own pace, including the local souks, before heading back to Marrakech. Inclusions: Transfers, lunch and bottled water. Please note driving distance is 2 hours drive each way.
